It was in fact a TV radio. Quiet tunes on usually Rock 95 and we would watch Coronation Street on Sunday morning. The unit has since gave up the ghost!

I help take schools here in the fall and spring and there isn't anyone else around. Its very nice then. I was going to take some friends of mine here this summer but because of this i might change the route. Scary stuff these days

Please be warned, I went for a day trip to McCrae lake on a weekend to find all the cars parked along the entry road had their windows smashed. Every single one! That was nearly 20 cars or more.

I was looking at the other post at the misspelled McRae lake and found someone had put a link to http://www.techno.ca/boreal/. I went to this site and it's them who take in the generator listen to "tunes in the woods" Apparently they take in large groups of 25 or more so for the folks who wondered about the music at night......question answered!

Thanks for that link. That really gives one pause to think--why would I want to go there? A group that has 25 to 80 people???????? A generator and microphones to broadcast their "music" to the entire area??????????? NO THANKS. I can't believe people can complain about Algonquin when this kind of "camping" experience can happen.

It would be worth it to join this group so you could find out their schedule and know when to avoid the area.

I wonder if these people realize the furious resentment their activities evoke in others. Is there some civil way we could let them know?

There is an email address on their site! I'm sure no matter what we say, they won't get it

It's so great to hear how the majority of the people that use this lake, not only clean up after themselves (which is a given), but also pick-up after others...

I still find it VERY hard to believe that some people are so ignorant as to leave there garbage behind!!!

Such a beautiful place, why not keep it that way?? I guess some are just raised with selfish habits...

If only there was something like a camping license, you can only camp if you past some kind of test

Say the tester come see how clean your house or car is.... Your work area.

There must be something we can do to weed out the people who take the beauty of nature for granted???
