Announcement to All CCR Members
The Wilderness Canoe Association (WCA) is pleased to announce that it has acquired Canadian Canoe Routes from Richard Munn, its founder. The goals of the WCA and CCR are similar in that both exist to serve the canoeing culture and its community. Under the new ownership, CCR will continue to be a vibrant website devoted to sharing information on canoe routes and all facets of canoeing. It will continue to be a meeting place for individuals who share a passion for wilderness travel, particularly by canoe and kayak. And it will continue to encourage and sustain this passion amongst both its members and the general public. The WCA expresses its special gratitude to the three long-serving moderators, Rob Collette (rob in angus), Chuck Kimmerle (ckimmerle) and Barbara; they have carried a heavy workload for a long period of time. We are very happy to confirm that all have consented to continue. We thank also CCR members for their patience and continued participation. Our first priorities are to deal with the spam, in particular in the
Forum, the Routes and the Gallery. Further announcements will be made
shortly. More information on this acquisition can be found on the Wilderness Canoe Association’s website http://www.wildernesscanoe.ca/news.htm and general information about the WCA can be found here http://www.wildernesscanoe.ca/
