| Start at east end of Hwy 211 (approximately 100 km east of Winnipeg)
Start at rock dam on north side South on river Stay right around island - Class I chute Through swampy area Lift over ledge Class I rapid (CBR) Old Pinawa Dam Prov. Park at Hwy 520 P around dam (series of liftovers) South on river for 8 km Finish at Hwy 313 - under bridge, then takeout on right at wayside park | ||

Route as described is actually 20km in length. Portage around the dam is 500m in length There is a large submerged rock in the middle of the channel ~500m before the dam that is easy to run aground on. The first half is by far the more interesting, after the Dam there is motor boat traffic and the river fairly open.
