Route Description
Access to Put-In Information:

We put-in at the ski-doo warming hut on the Upper Gaspereau and took out at the Burpee Covered Bridge in Gaspereau Forks. Check out the map in the linked detailed trip report for reference.

The road down to the put-in was in good shape, our vehicles handled it with ease -- it's a dirt road, so a truck wouldn't hurt. The take out was easily accessible because its on a major rd.

Technical Guide:

This is an easy trip that few New Brunsickers have ever done. We didn't see another person in peak paddling season. The fishing was excellent, and so was the camping and company. I went so far as to return later in the summer on a solo adventure.

Most of the trip paddles through crown / public land, so there are no houses or camps.

There were no established sites that we could find.

The closest guage at Salmon River read between 10-11 during our trip. There was barely enough water to get through the last stretch below the 123 bridge.
