After crossing the Collins Inlet we paddled for 3 km, and found a large campsite with a wall of rocks in front of it which created a small harbour for our canoe to land. Our campsite had two firepits, and lots of flat rock areas for pitching a tent, but nowhere to actually put pegs in the ground, so we had to use rocks to anchor our tent.
We found the water levels very high so some shallow islands that were showing on the map were under water. As a result, the water around the Philip Edward Island wasn't very calm and the waves were big when the wind picked up over 10 knots.
