I was quite intrigued that you could get such a trip done during the lockdown in late Summer of 2020. Here in Ontario, we weren't allowed to leave our area of residence to go canoing elsewhere in this province, or any other. It cancelled a few of my plans. I was especially interested in the contact with the native community, as we were told they would be especially affected from outside contamination. I think Nunavut was shut down completely.
I was also interested in the shotgun. Several years ago I planned a trip with a fry-in to the Winisk River in northern Ontario. I called the Ministry, and they said I could not bring a gun to protect myself from polar bears, and the only way I could have a gun along was to hire a native guide for the trip, who was allowed to carry a gun. I would have to go without. They said if they caught me with a gun, I would be criminally charged. Sheesh !
This is why I was so intrigued with your trip, which didn't seem to have the same restrictions or concerns as for us down here in southern Ontario.

Nice trip, nevertheless.
