We paddled the Teslin and Yukon Rivers this year from Johnson's Crossing to Carmacks. Definitely a trip worth doing. We plan to go back in a couple years to paddle from Carmacks to Dawson. Since I'm having trouble posting my pictures on this forum you can find my trip report here:

Cheers!

Hey Blucruisin,
Great trip report! I've been wanting to do that trip myself for some time.

Mind if I ask what your outfitter charged for your pick-up in Carmacks?

Cheers,
MikeD.

Kanoe People charged us just over $900.00 for shuttling from Whitehorse to Johnson's Crossing and then pick up in Carmacks back to Whitehorse. This was for 6 people, 3 canoes and all our gear. Worked out to just over $300.00 per couple. Not sure if the price would be the same if you rent canoes from them as well.

Cheers!

Thanks for sharing. I did the Teslin in 2003. A nice fishing spot and camp is at the mouth of the Boswell River. Roaring Bull is a whimper, though in high water it has some bigger waves. Most of those big river rapids were named by the steamer pilots, not paddlers.
