So what are the opinions on Alchemist?

One of the canoes I picked up last summer is Alchemist - a Prospector design (sort of) that looks like it is a bit longer than my other P16s

I go to their website and all I get is this :

To enjoy this site you'll need to update your Flash Player. It's easy, painless and will take
just a moment...
1. Download and install the latest version of Adobe's Flash Player
2. Unfortunately you'll then need to close your web browser
3. Go back to this site after you restart your web browser
4. That's it-have fun!

I'd like to report this issue to them but I can't even get at contact info. They really need to fire their web design company because this is absolutely terrible design.

Use IE instead of Chrome and you'll be able to get to the website. For contact info there is a web form you can fill in, or they also say "TO BUY A CANOE CONTACT MUSKOKA PADDLE SHACK AT 1.888.448.4423
LOCATED JUST SOUTH OF GRAVENHURST ON HWY#11 NORTH"

They had a decent reputation when they first started business. I haven't heard anything bad about them. I also haven't heard them being talked about nearly as much in the last couple of years, so I'm just not sure how active they currently are. As a positive sign they do have several models listed on the Muskoka Paddle Shack website: http://www.muskokapaddleshack.ca/homepa ... noes-page/

I'll reserve comment on our choice of OS for a desktop computer (and/or your over spending on under powered overpriced Apple hardware. ) ;-) This Adobe help page might be useful for you: https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb ... afari.html

You're best bet might be to just call Muskoka Paddle Shack.

Alchemist is the house brand for Muskoka Paddleshack. They are (were) made by H20 Composites. H20 Focuses on their own brand now. Paddleshack is down to 1 store. I doubt much development is being made with the Alchemist brand. H20 makes a good canoe though. So, I would assume the construction is sound.

Aha that's interesting. Especially because I've wanted to take a closer look at H2O but looks like I already have one :-)
