Hi,
We plan to spend one-week canoeing in Temagami (more precisely we planned to do Mapple loop) at the beginning of September. Because of fires, we have to at least prepare the alternative plan.

I'm looking for similar place, around 400km from Toronto and as remote from other people as possible but with the possibility of renting two canoes.
My first choice now is a North of Algonquin Park. I think about making route starting from Brent. What do you think about this location? How many people we meet at the beginning of September, we would like to avoid the crowds.

Crowd wise should not be too bad if your going after the long weekend. Cedar lake can be busy, but should not be bad at that time. If you're portaging off Cedar you should find yourself alone in most places.
