I've never been to La Verendrye but want to try it in late August. Looking for a 5-day route with variety and a minimum chance of encountering motorboats or logging operations. The contenders seem to be Circuit 33 and Circuit 61 -- quite different routes. Has anyone done these circuits? How were they for remoteness and variety? Would there be enough water in the Circuit 61 rivers to make it do-able in late August? I'd really welcome any advice. Thanks!

I had a friend do 61 later in the season and found it to be too low, much dragging.

The folks at LeDomaine where you buy your permits might be able to help with route advice, they used to be pretty good at that.
