Hi everyone,
I am looking to hike the Nahanni Butte this spring and was wondering if anyone had done it before while paddling the river. Is there some kind of trail? I know there is a repeater tower on top but Im told there is no road leading to it.
Any comments would be appreciated.

not sure about in the winter, but there is a trail up the Butte, just ask for directions in N.B. Also there is a guide book out by a formere park ranger, can't remeber his name now, but it likely has some info

I tried in the winter once with my brother, We lived below the Butte back when the park office was out there. We tried around new years eve, the snow conditions were good, but there was just not enough daylight at that time of year to make a go of it, we only made it about 75% of the way up before we had to turn around.
