It's not that new

How does this compare to Delorme maps?

Does anyone have any more insight into how the delorme software (Topo North America 9.0) may compare to garmin (either mapsource and/or basecamp)? Especially for use in Canada?

Went to the De Lorme store in Yarmouth today. SPOT has been thrown out in favor of the new Iridium based InReach Satellite communicator.

Dont know how that affects warranty of the PN60-SPOT alliance.

InReach works by itself or with the PN60 or with Android phones.

I read about the InReach a couple of weeks ago. Almost looks to me like Delorme took advantage of their brief marriage to SPOT, and developed their own system with 2-way communication, which is far superior to SPOT. I assume that if it has not already happened, a Delorme-SPOT divorce is imminent. If SPOT wants to stay competitive, they are going to have to take fast action and implement 2-way communication.
