Good day;

I am presently researching the market viability of traditional Chestnut Snowshoes.

Does anyone have any information on the demand for traditionally designed snowshoes?

Would anyone be interested in purchasing newly produced Chestnut Snowshoes based on original designs?

Thank you,
K. Patola

Hi,

I am not particularly interested in buying some presently but I have done a lot of snowshoeing and have never seen a better made set of snowshoes than the Chestnuts! I have two pair, Beavertail and Bear Paw. I have put countless miles on the Bear Paws ( I grew up in New Brunswick), have won races in them and have put dozens of coats of varnish on them. All of this and they haven't shown the slightest signs of weakening! They must be 40 years old. I highly reccommend them above all other manufactured traditional snowshoes. The quality of the webbing and frames can't be beat!
