Sorry, it's not a canoeing question…

I'm looking for x-country skiing areas that are west of Oakville ON (within an hour drive). Preferably something with grooming and tracksetting. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

P.S. Any CCRer's doing the CSM this year? If you are, drop me an e-mail. I'm planning my first attempt, and wouldn't mind asking you a few questions.

Hi Glen;An ex-girlfriend of mine was from Milton and she was always skiing the Halton Hills area. There is quite a few around there I think...some novice to intermediate.Off of Halton road 43 there is the Credit River-Island Lake Conservation Area, and I know they have tracksetting there.Hope this helps...Jordi.

There is also Circle R Ranch outside of Delaware (London) as well Pinehurst C.A. between Paris & Cambridge also offer XC skiing with trackset trails.
Both areas are small but at least it is a chance to get out.

Safe Paddling (skiing)

The link to the GRCA site was a great help. I’ve since checked websites for other townships west of Oakville. Lots of info, once you figure out where to look.
Thanks for the suggestions!!
