Can anyone advise if there is any good fishing in Grundy Lake Provincial Park? Heading up for the long weekend (uuughhh....) and am wondering if its worth bringing the rod?

Thanks!

I've caught and released a fair number of small Pike at Grundy.

Can you suggest a spot? We will not have a canoe up there, so do you know if theres a half decent spot from shore somewhere?

Thanks

I've jigged a few pike out of there. The lake's not big enough to worry about locations. Nothing too big. Good fishing nearby on any of the CL lakes.

I believe the lake's that I fished on were Grundy and Gut lakes. Although I was in a canoe, I was basically 20-30 feet from shore casting towards the shore and reeling back to the canoe......I don't see why it wouldn't work to cast out 20-30 feet from shore and reel back in (same area I was catching them). I had the best luck with top water lures (buzz and spinner baits).

There is an outfitter right on the highway there....you could always rent a canoe for the day. Lots of nice places to paddle in that area.
