Are you ready to plan and execute an epic arctic journey?
Epic stands for long because most people don't have more than 3 weeks of holidays to paddle.
I'd like to do a 10-12 week trip in the Arctic -June to Aug (possible in 2 or 3 parts). Doing it in parts allows for food drop offs and your participation can be limited to 3-4 weeks only. I can accommodate a variety of paddlers. Parts of these routes have white-water and parts do not. You need to have extensive paddling and camping experience and have participated in self-oranized multi-week trips.
I have the following waterways in mind:
- Reindeer Lake to Baker Lake via the Kazan River
-Reindeer Lake to Arviat via Nueltin Lk and Thlewiaza
-Canol Rd, Yukon to Yellowknife via Natla, Keele, Great Bear Lk
I have organized a few trips like this before and really like to to be on the land for a stretch of time. I like working hard physically but at the same time taking time to fish and hike to take in the land. I also want to use this opportunity to connect with youth to share our experience while on the trip and after.
I live in Ontario. I am open to other routes as well if you have something in mind.
