Trip Journal/Log/Report/Diary:

Oct. 15/00
Clear autumn day, slightly cloudy. Put in at 11am. Had lunch around 12:30 on gravel bar. Moose tracks everywhere and also signs of wolves, mink, beaver. American Dippers everywhere. Cutthroat trout in pools, but never brought our fishing gear. Observed bull moose and cow sleeping on gravel bar and got some great close-up photos. Beautiful day and look forward to the next visit.

Special Comments:

We take 2 vehicles and leave one at the take out site. We have done this trip a number of times and is definitely our favourite day trip. We always see lots of wildlife. Grizzly bears, moose, wolves and many different varieties of birds. Area is extremely clean of any human activities and very quiet. Beautiful mountain scenery, there is remnant of the access trail from the 1860 era gold rush which adds to the beauty of this river.
