Access Hardy Lake Provincial Park from Hwy 169 North of Gravenhurst & just South of Torrance.
Parking and access is on the East side of 169.
Portage about 400 m from the parking lot to the lake.
Paddle circumference of the lake.
North end of Hardy Lake P 400 m into Lake Muskoka`s East Bay if you wish. Explore this relatively undeveloped area of Lake Muskoka and return via the perimeter of Hardy Lake to the parking area on Hwy 169.
This is a nice day trip in a quiet undeveloped park in the middle of highly developed cottage country. The park has no facilities and is DAY USE ONLY.
A nice lunch spot is the old homestead clearing on the west shore of the lake. A hiking trail leads from this clearing to another farther parking/access point off of the road into Torrance.
Another nice spot is a creek and waterfall connecting Hardy Lake and Lake Muskoka. It isn`t navigable but is a nice hike along it.
