Paddled 2.5 hrs, slowly, with Gros Morne Adventures (recommended).
Crossed from Norris Point to south side, went short distance down South Arm, turned back.
Followed up with visit to local Marine Aquarium (also recommended) in Norris Point.
More later, with photos.
11/13.

Stayed three nights at the Ocean View Hotel in Rocky Harbour, good place.
If in the area, don't miss Anchors Aweigh at the Ocean View, Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings. Hours of rollicking good fun, a bit raunchy at times, even crude.
Took the boat tour at Western Brook Pond, also not to be missed.
Saw "The Belle of Bonavista Bay" at the Gros Morne Theatre in Cow Head; good show.

Love this province!
Haven't hit a moose, yet.
Off to St Anthony and L'Anse.

Saw L'Anse aux Meadows. Great place, great staff. Must see for anyone visiting Newfoundland.
St Anthony and Grenfell Interpretation Centre also great.
Skipped the boat tour (whales and bergs); saw a small berg beside Hwy 436 on the way back and have seen whales before. Went instead to the Grenfell house.
Off to Twillingate in the morning.

Arrived in Twillingate after 9.5 hrs on the road, including stops.
Hard rain in the northern pen, again the last 200 km or so. Had some sun in Gros Morne and were able to take some photos.
Several kayak outfitters on the south shore of Notre Dame Bay.
Tourist office said that last bergs were seen in Twillingate in early July. Said also that bergs still to be seen in St Anthony; cleared that one up.
Staying at the Anchor Inn, very nice and correspondingly expensive.

Eating too much but drinking good beer brought up from Total in Florida. Saving Gahan beer for reentry into Canada, thus making room for beer to be purchased in the US.
Off to the dining room.
