British Columbia Route Information

Canadian Canoe Routes information for British Columbia comes from several sources.
CCR provides two means by which members may post their trip reports, the Routes section and the Trip Reports folder.
As well, I have gleaned information from the web and from books; these results are posted in the Forum threads.

With help from anonymous, aaront, Barbara, erich, marscanoe, Tom H, Alan Thomson and the Executive Committee of the RCABC, I designed eight regions in which to file British Columbia Route information. These regions are shown on Marilyn’s clickable map in CCR’s Routes section ... anoeroutes
Some regions contain only Coastal Routes, others only Inland Routes, others both.
Inland regions are based on drainage basins to order to minimise cross-listing.

The link above, that is ... anoeroutes

British Columbia Trip Reports folder.
I go through the folder each year and post corresponding Route entries in the Forum threads listed below; please note that members may have posted reports since my last scan (the date of which is given in the TR folder).

Ed notes:
1. To reduce cross-listing, Routes with significant reaches in more than one region will be filed in the paragraph Routes with ... below, to be prepared.
2. The limit of 60,000 characters required more than one post for some threads.
Columbia. Inland Routes only. ... 05&t=34200
Fraser. Inland Routes only. ... 05&t=39416 ... 05&t=41329
North Inland. Inland Routes only. ... 05&t=39333 ... 05&t=41525
North Coast. Coastal Routes only. ... 05&t=34198
Pacific. Inland Routes only. ... 05&t=37214 ... 05&t=42160
Southwest. Both Coastal and Inland Routes. ... 05&t=41271 ... 05&t=41531
Straits. Primarily Coastal Routes.
For the paddler's convenience, I created two subregions (too small to show on Marilyn's map), namely
Upper Straits. ... 05&t=37908
Lower Straits. ... 05&t=41511
West. Primarily Coastal Routes. ... 05&t=37279 ... 05&t=41415

Routes with significant reaches in more than one region.
Ed note: I haven’t gone over the Routes thoroughly enough to determine whether any belong here.

A literal mind is a little mind. If it's not worth doing to excess, it's not worth doing at all. Good enough isn't.  None are so blind as those who choose not to see. (AJ)
