Anyone got any good info on the smoke situation at Bowron? I called the park but they were... not the most helpful. Wondering if anyone has been there recently and can describe or share photos. Supposed to be going right after Labour Day.

I have no idea what the situation is now but we went last August.. Yes there was smoke some days and not others. The wind and the wind direction has everything to do with what smoke you get. We got alot here in Maine this summer from Ontario
You will have to keep updated on the situation https://governmentofbc.maps.arcgis.com/ ... kPoint=300

Last summer too the fires when we were there were west of Quesnel. IIRC they were very big.

Just got back early this morning. The smoke was mostly cleared out, except for one or two days when it provided just enough haze to really accentuate the receding ridgelines. It was pretty awesome, actually. The ranger we chatted with did say it had been pretty bad earlier in the season... "You couldn't see your hand in front of your face."
