Had our first paddle of the year yesterday on Francois Lk.
A 20-30km section of the East end of the lake never froze this year.
The weather was finally warm enough so we went for a sunny paddle.
We enjoyed a lunch on the beach and practiced making fires with a Light My Fire firesteel.



Annamarie's been cooped for a long winter.



Headed out today for my second pole of the year.
My brother Dave joined me for a trip on the Stellako river. It flows from Francois Lk. to Fraser Lk.
We made it up about 3kms.
I'm learning and liking it more each trip. It's definitely a neat way to enjoy a canoe.
