Has anyone paddled the Swift River in northern BC? Looks like it might be an interesting 60km paddle from the Alaska Highway to Teslin Lake, and then up the lake to the village of Teslin, but I can't find any information on it. Thanks |

Welcome to the forum, the Swift River was the reason I finally quit lurking and joined. I still haven't paddled it, as another adventure presented itself the year I was looking into it. Cordillera gave some info, and offered more via private message, and I never took him up on it or even thanked him. Here is Cordillera's thread: https://www.myccr.com/phpbbforum/viewto ... 05&t=39768 |

Thanks elGuapo, I have seen that thread. I paddled the upper section of the river and the 'little riffle' turned out to be quite long and somewhat rough with significant standing waves, possibly because I was there at very low water. Bing aerial photos also seems to indicate that there are two waterfalls on the river, lower down, so I was hoping to find someone that had actually been there. I would happily go down and struggle through it myself, but I always have a kid with me and that changes the game a bit. |

Agreed on the Bing imagery interpretation. I can't provide any more info, but will when I eventually go. No specific date or even year set yet though. |
