Within the city there are several rivers. They are:
Vermilion River
Spanish River
Wanapitei River
Rapid River
Onaping River
Whitson Rive

I will talk about the Spanish, Wanapitei and Onaping Rivers separately.

For the others. Can they be paddled as multi day trips with camping along them? What are their access points?

Anything else would be appreciated.

Have done Vermillion as a day trip from the bridge in Chelmsford to the old hiway 17. Also spent a weekend practicing rapids during spring run off near the new hiway 17. Many access points.

Wahnapetaie also as a day trip during spring run off. Had to keep pushing ice out of the way. Drive north of Capreol and put in anywhere the road is close to the river.

Never heard of the Rapid river.

Whitson is a creek. A slow moving one mostly in a residential area.

The rapid river drains Joe Lake and is aptly named as it runs through mostly boulders till it nears the Vermilion There are a few flat sections but I have never seen anyone canoe there .
As hooligan said the Whitson Is residential ,meanders a lot and has several low farmers bridges and is only a day long trip .
I've done all of the Vermilion . The section north of Capreol is very scenic but really only a spring run unless we have a wet season . From Capreol to the Vermilion Lake it meanders a lot and there are places to camp but mostly on sand bars along the river .From there the river has more rapids and more direct flow . Not a lot of places to camp .
Onaping River is really a spring run and is quite interesting . The road in can be a challenge in the spring . Onaping Lake is a beautiful lake , has many camp sites and can easily take a week to explore . There is lots of parking at the government dock . scouter Joe

I'm going this thread as I'm looking for some day trip options near Sudbury to practice on some rapids. Did the north Wanipitae last Saturday and had a good time. Just want to try something else to get some practice.
