Does anyone know a reliable website for checking general snow conditions in the province?

I live in southern Ontario where all our snow has already melted. I'm planning a trip in the coming weeks to some crown land in Central Ontario and have no way of knowing how much snow remains up there.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

We have ~1m base in Timmins. Plenty still in Sudbury as well. I'll be winter camping in the Algonquin area in two weeks.

MODIS won't give you depth, but you can check the daily satellite imagery for snow and ice cover.

I have found the snow depths on VentuSky to be fairly accurate for the areas I frequent:

They also have a smartphone app.

Algonquin P P lists the snow depth for ski trail areas. Might give you an indication if you go early enough.

Also the Algonquin Snowmobile Club in Dwight has a web cam, just checked and it just dipped below the 4 foot mark (1220 mm for those inclined). Lots of snow but the warmer temps could make for a wet camp. I missed my winter trip this year, if the temps drop I may still get out.
Ken

PS: not a total loss though, we did make it to Canoecopia, had a great time, talked to Harlan from Red Lake Outfitters about our Aug. trip to WCPP, attended Kevin Callan's talk on his Thames River "Expedition" and several other presentations.

Ontario Parks Ski Report has measured snow depths... if the ski trails have been closed, recent measurements might not be taken, phoning might provide something more reliable. APP snow depth measured at 90 cm.
