Hi all,

For anyone who has stayed on Sunday lake, how many tents can you fit on the island site?

Thanks.

It doesn't really matter how many can fit, it matters on how many the park allows on that site. You can look that up in the park info.

Just looked it up since I could not remember of the top of my head how many tents, good thing, Algonquin goes by # of people. which is 9 people max permitted on one site. So as many tents as you need to fit 9ppl.

4. Individuals per Campsite/Party Size Limit
Without limits, campsites would soon deteriorate and surrounding vegetation would be destroyed. The number of people permitted to camp at one campsite in the Park backcountry is limited to nine individuals on their site. In principle, larger groups may travel and eat together, but they must break up to camp and should plan their trips accordingly.

Thanks for the info. Thinking about my girlfriend and I along with two other couples. Just wanted to see if there was room for three tents. I've found a couple videos on youtube but the island looks pretty small. Otherwise we'll try for another site on the lake.

I'm not sure about the island in terms of a lot of tents. I know that you can definitely fit two tents there.

There is certainly enough room for more than two tents at the site across the lake from the island. There are three sites on that lake IRRC. The site I'm talking about is the one that's a bit further from the island.

Lots of room on that island site. It's much better than the other 2
