Has anyone ever paddled the section of the Key River from the Lost Channel to Portage Lake? Is it passable by canoe? Does it depend a lot on the water level at the time? See the attached file for a picture. This is in the Parry Sound District.

Funny, I was asked the question recently. Someone had heard that you could take a voyageur canoe from Barrie to Grundy. Sot I am watching this closely.

I don't think that section of the river ever gets too low for canoeing, but I might be wrong. You might get reliable info from Grundy Lake PP, or from the marina at Lost Channel, (705) 757-3104
