My wife and I are heading up to Missinaibi for 10 days or so in a few days. I just had a thought that it would be nice to leave a day or two early, and stop for a night or two on the way back, at a remote fishing lodge somewhere along the way. We usually use the Sultan shortcut, so I'm thinking somewhere on Biscotasing Lake would work.
I've previously stayed at J&L's retreat in Gogama. Fantastic food (and I mean fantastic) and great hosts, but I'm thinking something more out of the way would be nice, especially if we take our time getting back.
There seems to be a few places that might fit the bill on Biscotasing Lake, and I'm betting that reservations won't be needed this year, with any luck (but obviously, call before leaving Chapleau). Somewhere we don't have to cook, and a restaurant is fine, we don't need a housekeeping plan. Does anyone have a recommendation for such a place?
