Just came back from a funeral up in Fort Frances. Visited relatives (socially distanced of course) in Rainy River- Thunderbay. Tinder dry. Not enough rain to do anything. Creeks and rivers flow, and a number of waterfalls are almost dry. I have never seen all the rocks in these falls. Farmers are culling their stock, as there the weather was not good enough for a great crop of hay, and despite a few shipments from S. Ont., there is not enough to feed the stock. Heading back up (4th time this summer) next week, and hoping it is not going to be more portaging than paddling!
