Greetings. I'm hoping to speak to anyone with information about the Wolverine canoe company, or anyone with experience fishing in the canoes, for a possible story for Ontario OUT of DOORS magazine.

If you have any info, please me at Jason.Bain@oodmag.com . Thank you!

You probably already found this......

https://www.reddit.com/r/canoeing/comme ... years_ago/

Interesting story, who would have thought, a Satans Choice biker from Welland Ontario starts a canoe company then moves to Wawa and gets busted for dealing meth!

Not sure how the "fishing in canoes" part relates to Wolverine, Bikers or Meth?

I almost bought an old wolverine square stern in Thunder Bay a couple of years ago. Looked well built, but at 14 feet it was too small for my purposes. Only back story I knew is that the company had been from Wawa.

Vinman, I don't really see anything wrong using this site as a resource for information, as long as credit is given appropriately. It might lead to a more accurate and entertaining story, and there's nothing wrong with that.

Jason, did you find any info for your article?

I assume you searched this forum and found a few other threads where Wolverine has been mentioned?

I tried to ID a fiberglass 14' tandem canoe that I picked up in Winnipeg, and came to the conclusion it may be a Wolverine:

This came up for me again because there is a similar looking canoe for sale now.
