I finally got my trip report done from my June WCPP trip. It was a great trip with excellent weather. I was pretty fortunate to string that many nice days together in late June. I got a lot of info from this site when planning the trip so thought I would share my trip here.

It is a bit long and pic heavy.

Hello hobbydog: Excellent report! Beautiful pictures. Great job on the fishing. I did a five night trip with my dad to WCPP in 2007. We only spent five or six nights in the park. I'll have to do another trip to WCPP. Thanks for sharing.

Take care,
Cousin Pete

Wonderful report! So nice that you had such great weather and saw so much wildlife. That cave on Aegean was really cool to see.

hobbydog,

Well done on the TR. I've done a fair bit of paddling in WCPP and was able to recognize many of the campsites that you stayed at - some really nice spots, especially the island site on Dunstan.

I also did a solo in WCPP this year. I stopped in for lunch at the campsite on Cyclops Lake...probably the first person to visit since you were there.

Cheers,
MM

Thanks for posting. Will process this report and others soon.
Wondering where Fowl Lake and Echo Lake are located.
Yours in paddling, Allan

Edit (17 October, 2016).
Thanks to leiferikson for the location of Echo Lake.
I have since figured out that Fowl Lake lies on the Pigeon River (the one between Ontario and Minnesota, not the one in Manitoba).
Both Echo Lake and Fowl Lake are mentioned in the photos.

Allan, I went through hobby dog's trip log and saw no mention of Fowl lake or Echo Lake.
Where did you see them?

I know of no Fowl lake in WCPP.
Echo lake is east of Walking Stick Lake - both are west of Dunstan lake.

Glen

fyi, I was not able to view the 'link to my planned route'.

Great trip report and photos. Thanks for posting. Your comment about weather making or breaking a trip is very true. One can endure bad weather and complete a trip but any trip is certainly much, much better with the kind of weather you had. Keep on tripping and posting.
