Happy Thanksgiving!

Did a fun weekend paddle at Noganosh Provincial Park. What a gem! Was very quiet in the park this weekend. What a beautiful place!

You can read my trip report and see photos on my blog: https://wabooseadventures.com/2016/10/10/noganosh-provincial-park-happy-thanksgiving/

Thank you so much for reading! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend too!

Hello Waboose Adventures: Beautiful fall colors! Was that an old style canvas pack your husband was carrying? Good luck with the studies. You gotta love tripping in the fall time.

Happy Thanksgiving,
Cousin Pete

Nice report!

For those of you who haven't been into Noganosh yet but plan to, that leaning tree in the 12th photo is a guidepost to the narrows from Smoky to Noganosh.

I don't know how I didn't see you! I launched from the landing on Saturday morning at about 8:45. Red VW Beetle.

Thanks Cousin Pete! Studies are going well (photography). Yes, my husband carries the Frost River Tregurtha pack. It's a beast! We're trying to downsize for Quetico next summer. Not sure we'll be taking that pack. We want to single carry. We'll see how it goes! Most of our bulk is my damn Marmot Trestles 15 sleeping bag that can't even keep me warm in -1C, even though it's rated for -9.

Hmm.. there was a red car parked behind our forester but it wasn't a beetle.

I think we rolled in between 9am-10am. Too bad we missed each other! What lake(s) did you end up camping on?

I was heading in the other direction- towards West Deer and Dog and Big Hungry. I was gone by 12:00 noon on Monday. The parking lot had a fair few more cars in it when I left as compared to when I arrived.
