Looking for a paddle-in backcountry camping experience in Southern Ontario? Check out the Wildwood Conservation Area in the heart of farm country, situated on Highway 7, just a 15 minute drive west of the city of Stratford. Wildwood has established 3 paddle-in, or hike-in sites along the shores of Wildwood Lake. The closest site is 1.5 km. from the main campground and the furthest is 3.5km - and easy paddle on a small lake with no portages. I spent a night there in August and dropped by all three sites to check them out. Here's a little video highlighting what I discovered:
