In the summer of 2020 we went for the first time on a canoe trip in Point Grondine Park.

It is a special park, we could have spent more time exploring the park but we stayed only 3 nights, with the first and last day cut short because of the long drive.
I was hoping to see a bear ( which we didn't), but we had a close encounter with a young deer. We were down by the river edge filtering water and the deer came down the slope on the other side. I was expecting to see him drinking water but he started swimming right away. There was a sense of urgency, even if I didn't see anything chasing him. There was wolf scat on our campsite so it might have been wolves but they didn't show.
We were able to skinny dip from our second campsite, very good water access.
We even portaged into Collins Inlet where we could find few interesting pictographs.
