Two of us are planning to canoe Sask River Crossing to Siffleur next week (Oct 14-16). Any advice, recommendations would be appreciated.

I think you may find the river level very low in October. Braided channels abound so you'll have to really watch for just with channel has the most water.
And it's going to be cold at night, maybe snow too.
Brrrr
For many years a group of us would paddle the Reddeer river upstream from Sundre on the thanksgiving weekend and we always had a great paddle.
It's so interesting to see a familar river at lower water level. Holes can still hold your boat but good!

Thanks Laura. Expected low water and used to the cold. Selecting the right braid will be an unique challenge with the low water. Light cedar/glass canoe with graphite bottom and minimal baggage.
