The BWCC Environment Committee is hosting a LIVE presentation of Birds of Prey and Species at Risk. What does it means to be a 'Threatened' or 'Endangered' animal in Alberta? Join us EARLY at 7pm to learn more! The Alberta Birds of Prey Centre will be here with LIVE eagles, owls and hawks for you to see firsthand our "Species at Risk" in Alberta. Don't forget to bring your camera - the birds don't mind a little flash in the limelight!
The presentation starts with a few slides introducing Species at Risk.
Following is a brief slide show on each bird as they are brought out and introduced. At the end, some of the birds are available for holding & touching.
Environmental Concerns Committee Chair Monique Wilkinson writes: "Colin has offered to do the session for free as a gift to us - which is very generous as he too is a not for profit organization - not supported by the government."

Trying new recipes for Christmas baking? Why not test them out on your fellow Canoe Club members at our December 7th meeting! All baked goods welcome!!
President PHIL could use some help prior to the doors opening, including setting up the chairs, bringing up the slide projection stand, setting up the table for refreshments, making coffee and hot tea water, purchasing cookies and coffee cream, putting out cups, etc. He also needs help taking everything down at the end of the meeting, and dry mopping the hall floor, lobby and bathrooms. Also known as the "Seven Duties". Please contact PHIL GARDNER (270-4041) if you can help out.
Also: Cold Pepsi and Hot Popcorn will be available! All we need is someone to work the microwave, starting at 6:00 pm. Let PHIL know if you can help with this.
