Does anyone have information on the upper reaches of Brazeau River from basically the head waters south of Mt Brazeau or from the Icefields Parkway down through the Brazeau Canyon Wildlands to the Cardinal River Rd pullout?

I am pondering a packraft traverse and finding little information on the web of the upper reaches in particular.

Any info or tips would be great. Thanks! Alex

Try contacting Mark Lund through the Ceyana Canoe Club. I believe that he and others paddled this section many years ago.

I've certainly never paddled it, but there is some good (dated) information out there.

There is also a good write-up and description of the Upper Brazeau River in Stuart Smith's guidebook, 'Canadian Rockies Whitewater - Central Rockies'.
Hope that helps, take care.
