Debating on put-in spot for a three day trip with five other old guys. Genesee
Bridge to Edmonton may be too short. Any suggestions on a put-in somewhere between Genessee bridge and Barrymore?

I have put in at the Genessee bridge and didnt paddle much at all. Floated to the Devon Bridge by 3:00 the next day. Overnighted on an island along the way just before the Honeyvale Acres launch area.

Fishing was a priority so we took it very slow.

I have been told (on this forum) that as a rule you can budget about 1 day paddle between the bridges.

Go to some of the other posts on this forum and you should be able to get some good info.

Hope you have a good trip.

this may be coming in a bit late for your trip.....but there's a very nice put-in/take out between berrymoor and genessee.....
1st road west of Keephills turnoff on highway 627
turn south (left if coming from edmonton)
follow the road down past the gravel pits to the river

its about 3 hours paddling to Genessee from there.....another 8 to Devon (times may vary)

plenty of nice island camping along the way
