Application under the Canadian Navigable Waters Act

Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure hereby gives notice that an application has been made to the Minister of Transport, pursuant to the Canadian Navigable Waters Act for approval of the work described herein and its site and plans.
Pursuant to paragraph 7(2) of the said Act, Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure has deposited with the Minister of Transport, on the on-line Common Project Search Registry (http://cps.canada.ca/) and under registry number 6143 or, under the NPP File Number 2022-605963 a description of the following work, its site and plans:

• Bridge (Remove/Construct)
• Access Platform/Berm (Temporary)

Replacement of Bridge Site # 2659 on Provincial Trunk Highway No. 34 over the Assiniboine River, in the SE ¼ Section 33, Township 8, Range 11W in the Rural Municipality of Victoria, MB.

Comments regarding the effect of this work on marine navigation can be sent through the Common Project Search site mentioned above under the Comment section (search by the above referenced number) or if you do not have access to the internet, by sending your comments directly to:

However, any information related to a work is considered as unclassified public record and could be accessible upon legal request. However, comments will be considered only if they are in writing (electronic means preferable) and are received not later than 30 days after the publication of the last notice. Although all comments conforming to the above will be considered, no individual response will be sent.

Hello Chris! It could be the old file for PTH 34 that is closed. Please check using Registry No. 6143 in your search. Comment period should still be open until September 16th. Thanks for your interest!

That was definitely what I searched on. Tried again and came up with same result!

OK, so just spotted a new blue box. Having to set up an account is poor though. I would also say that maybe it would be good to ask people before you start design work, rather than after. That's real consultation and can save money in the long term
