Thanks for that insight recped. My go-to solo boat is a NC Pal (kev/spec), which I feel very much at home in. I'm not afraid to scratch it up, though I try to avoid unnecessary wear. |

I agree with recped. I put some pretty heavy wear on the stems of my canoe when doing the Bloodvein but I believe most of that came from upstream travel when I was trying to avoid the current by staying close to shore and paddling up eddies. Often times the confused currents would shove me into the rocks. Alan |
