Planning a trp to the Mistassibi NE and need to rent canoe, but I'm having trouble locating someone in the area who rents fully equipped boats...

You can try at "L'aventurier" in Chicoutimi: (418) 545-2251 I'd say it's your best bet North-east of Quebec City. I can't guarantee you'll have service in very good English...
