goodday all, im trying to get some info on the oskelaneo route from reservoir gouin to lac Mistassini. Im planning a future trip that will take me from Dumoine lake to lake Mistassini. The 2 big questions I have right now is if the oskelaeo route is still a viable route and what is the best route from grand lac Victoria to reservoir gouin. If anybody have info on this it will be greatly appreciated.

Grand Lac Victoria to Réservoir Gouin:

Grand Lac Victoria - Réservoir Dozois - Rivière des Outaouais - Rivière Camachigama - Little bushwack - Rivière Suzie - Lac Brécourt -Lac du Poête - Réservoir Gouin.

I plan on doing the Train track - Rivière Suzie - Rivière Camachigama - Réservoir Dozois part in early June.

Frederic,

Did you make your trip from the train tracks down the Camichagamau?

I was not able to find a partner for this time frame and I postponed it for next spring. I do have an old map should you be interested.

I've been on the Camichigamau twice, both times back in the summer of 1972! I was leading trips for Camp Kapitachouane and took a group of 14 and 15 year-olds down the Capitachouane River and then looped back up to Lac Choiseul by going up the Camichigamau. I'll be curious to hear how the rapids are. Good luck.

The thread about Camp Kapitachuan on this web site was very inspiring. I did the Megiscane with a detour on the St-Cyr and the Macho after reading it. I am leaving soon for the Wetetnagami.
