Looking for some information regarding Rivière de L'Aigle. I'm planning a 2 night/3 Day canoe trip with some buddies and have read up on a few trip reports that this route is quite nice. The only issue is I can't seem to locate any outfitters in the area for info, canoe rentals and shuttle service. Someone in this Trip report below mentioned they went to Black Rollway for their needs, but I can't seem to find anything online for this place. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hi Eric

The forums are the place to ask questions.

Posting a question on the trip report in the database is not the way to go, as it is stated on each trip report "comments" section:

Please note: This is not the place to ask questions about this route. If you are seeking advice about this trip, please post your questions in the discussion forums on this site.

Thanks,

Sorry for that Barbara, I guess I jumped the gun on that one. I will delete the comment if it's still up.

Thanks for clarifying!

No problem.

I've deleted the comment. All comments in the database need to be approved before they appear.

I've paddled the upper part of the Eagle many times but haven't been up there for a few years. I can't find anything on the internet either, but I know there used to be something ....

Anyway, Black Rollway is the name of the park at the confluence of the Aigle and the Hibou. There is a camp-ground and a restaurant with some overnight accommodations.

The forested valley of the river is managed by the Corporation de Gestion de la Foret-de-l'Aigle:

There are a few cabins for rent along the river:

Both of these should be able to provide you information.
