I'm eyeing a route down the east branch of the Godbout from below the dam on Lake Sainte-Anne to the confluence with the main branch of the Godbout (which from there downstream is a well-travelled route). I haven't found any information on the east branch above the confluence, but from aerial images it looks like it flows through a fairly impressive canyon. Does anybody know anything about this stretch of river? Important unknowns are whether there's enough water to float a boat in the section below the dam on Lake Sainte-Anne, and how impassable the canyon sections are.
