Any one know where to get live information on the Dumoine Zec? I have a trip planned there in less than a month and I'm not sure if it's open or on fire.

Thanks!

I dunno but I cancelled my Petawawa trip this weekend because there are two fires very close to it...park staff said they are under control. I've decided to play it safe.

My understanding is that the ZEC is closed (i.e. no access) at the present time.

Things change so quickly with fires you won't be able to plan one month out.

I was just evacuated from the Spanish - helicopter landed on the river and told us to book it to the Elbow where the MNR hauled us out. What was fine on Saturday was no good by Tuesday.

I just learned that the Dumoine Zec is back open! Heard from an outfitter in Rapide Des Joachim.

They had enough rain in that area for a while that the fires have subsided.

I'm looking forward to hitting that river again in July!
