Hi all

Long time since my last post. I have since moved back down east after 17 years in Ontario and want to start exploring more of Nova Scotia !

My question is about Panuke Lake near Windsor and if there is ample camping spots down in the south end of the lake where it gets more remote. I'd like to spend a few days exploring but if there isn't any suitable spots to camp out I won't bother.

Anyone?

We did the trip down Panuke Lake last summer. There are a lot of cabins and powerboats most of the way down the lake. We found a suitable spot a third of the way down and a great campsite right at the portage take out on the southern end of the lake.

We did the trip a couple of years ago and there is a nice level spot for camping at the south end of the lake. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid ... =3&theater

Not sure if the link will work but it shows the area where you take out and that place has room for at least 6 or 7 tents (at least it did when we went).

any ideas on the number of hours on the lake? I'm thinking from the boat launch to the south end 6 hours?

Thought I'd post for others who might stumble across this thread.

Putting in at the public boat launch and paddling the right side of the lake there is an amazing spot to the right of the largest island good for 1 large tent. You will see the remnants of an old clothes line that is several years old and my sons and I built a nice fire pit on the rocks near the water that should be very visible as you paddle down the right hand side should it remain intact.
