Planning a 10-12 day trip on the Pelly between Faro and Pelly Crossing for September 2023. Ideally, I would like to make a connection with a local who would be willing to drive my vehicle from Faro to Pelly Crossing with payment for their time. My car, my gas, their time. I understand it's approximately 3 hours one way. I would also drive them back to Faro.
Alternatively, in the past, I have set up my own transport using my car, a motorcycle trailer, and a motorcycle. If I go that route, I need to find parking for my car and trailer in Pelly Crossing and for my bike in Faro.
Anyone have any local connections?
Thanks in advance for any help you may provide.
Hoop

FWIW I had passed this on to my daughter who has a connection in Faro. They were going to post the link on a local board but it doesn't sound like you got any response.

Splake - I truly appreciate your effort. It's looking like I'll be flying by the seat of my pants. I'll leave Iowa with a motorcycle in tow and my hat in hand in hopes that I'll find a safe and legal place to park near each bridge.
Just adds to the adventure, right?

Hi Hooper.
You might want to give Up North Adventures a call. While they are not in Faro, they are plugged in to the paddling world in the Yukon and may know someone in the area that can help you out.
Also, check very carefully about the fire situation before you leave. Right now, things in the NWT are in very bad shape. Not sure about Yukon side.

Thanks oldntired. We are watching the fires daily and so far things are still a go for us. Fingers crossed rain will move in and slow the burning in the NWT. We feel lucky we got to see the NWT last year before it went to blaze. So beautiful. Thank you for the advise.

One other possibility - There is a "Paddling in the Yukon" Facebook group that would be worth a shot if you're on Facebook.
