My picture was taken in Algonquin Park at Clydegale Lake in May of 2008 (long weekend) from the island site at the west end of the lake with an Olympus E-Volt 300 and 14-42 zoom lens set at 14mm

Thanks to everyone that voted. There were some really great images entered.
My photo was taken in Algonquin Park (Crotch Lake) on a beautiful early morning in late August.
The air was still and the temperature was just right to create that magical mist rising off the water.
I managed to convince my wife to crawl out of her warm sleeping bag and act as a model. I was able to get number of shots over about half an hour when the breeze finally came up and dispersed the mist.
I shot both from shore and in a kayak to capture various angles and lighting conditions.
Some great memories from a wonderful trip.
Cheers,
Jeff

Mine was on the Madawaska River, somewhere a little bit east of the Long Rapids. It was hot, I was tired, and while drifting with the current, noticed the waveing grass on the bottom. It was just SO pretty! :D

Did you notice that in the reflection of the cloud in the water (just to the left of the paddle) there is a Neanderthal face looking towards the left?

Or, maybe it is an Australopithecus.

Actually it was in Otter Mel's shot that I saw faces in the clouds.

Mine was taken on Maligne Lake, Alberta mid Aug. 2008 in Fisherman's Cove, which is just around the corner from Spirit Island where the cruise boats land and where a very common postcard pic is taken. It snowed the night before down to within a couple of hundred meters of lake level.

Thx to the folks who voted for my pic. The 3 vote system worked for me, as I must have gotten some second and third place votes! As soon as I saw L2K's classic morning mist shot I knew which one would win! Lots of great pics---better than most I've seen on calendars and such.
