The July photo contest will follow the same model as the previous contests while maintaining the 3-vote system.

Here are the rules of the contest:

One picture per person. Any picture related to a self-propelled outdoors activity is fair game and there is no restricton as to when the picture was taken. (go ahead and scan those pics from that 1964 trip.)

Photos should be no smaller than 640 x 480 and no larger than 800 x 600. (If you are unsure how to resize your photos, this thread contains some helpful advice. )

  • Email your picture to Neilluck @ videotron.ca (no spaces before or after @)
  • Put "July CCR photo contest" (without quotes) in the subject line so my email program will automatically sort it into the correct email folder.
  • Indicate your screen name right at the top of the email body text, above the picture. (these little details make lighter work)
The submission period runs from today until July 15 2010 . Voting period July 16-July 31.

Stay tuned for the details regarding a special photography contest which will overlap this one.

You can even center it.

The number of poll options can be increased, if needed for the July contest.

if you increase the # of choice options for the poll, maybe you would consider two pics per person? Just a thought... sometimes we have funny pics fun to share, and then there are those we are fond of for aesthetic reasons.

Hi Tess, sorry about the slow response time.

I think we'll leave it for now as one submission per person. For future photo contests, we'll look into it.

I actually said that about increasing the number of poll options hoping that the number of entries for July would be large enough to warrant the change.

Hoping, too, that folks who haven't entered the previous contests would feel compelled to enter now. :D

The idea of "funny" photos may make a good theme for a future contest. Thanks for the suggestion.

Let's reiterate the rules for the July contest:

Photos should be no smaller than 640 x 480 and no larger than 800 x 600.

(If you are unsure how to resize your photos, this thread contains some helpful advice. )

  • Email your picture to Neilluck @ videotron.ca (no spaces before or after @)

  • Indicate your screen name right at the top of the email body text, above the picture. (these little details make lighter work)

The submission period runs until July 15 2010.

Voting period July 16-July 31.
