Here are the entries for the Autumn 2010 Photo Contest. The theme was "portaging".

Many thanks to all the folks who entered their wonderful photos.

Each member can choose up to 3 favourites. To cast your vote, click on the button found on the left / center of each photo. (You can also change your votes.) Then scroll down to the bottom of the photos and click the "submit vote" button.

The voting period will run from today until October 15th.

You know, I cast my vote...some excellent photos. Of course we recognize Phil there.

...but the winning hand should go to Uncle Phil for his ongoing efforts in Wabakimi!!

OK, I'll try dragging those photos through the narrow squeeze in the rusty wires out here again, and hope Clem and Velma next door aren't still on their marathon I Love Lucy downloads.

Since I did some "roughing it" lately I'm well qualified to judge the effectiveness of any particular portage pic in conveying the horrible agony of actually doing it. OTOH, perhaps the ecstasy of the eventual unburdening will be the element most eloquently expressed... anyway we see.
